Job summary

Carvana is seeking a management-level leader to oversee day-to-day transportation operations at the Hoffman Estates location. You will coordinate with site leaders to achieve goals, review daily route schedules, and mentor a team of supervisors and CDL drivers.

Responsibilities include assigning shifts, ensuring safety standards, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize inventory movement and warehouse workflow. A Bachelor's degree and CDL-related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of people leadership experience.
• 3+ years logistics or supply chain experience.
• Knowledge of DOT compliance/regulations.
• Experience managing CDL drivers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day transportation operations needs at assigned locations in coordination with other site leaders.
• Participate in the development of site specific goals and objectives, and ensure alignment and effective execution within the site.
• Review and evaluate daily route schedules and work with Logistics Operations Planning and Scheduling to address issues and deficiencies.
• Providing mentoring and accountability to, direct reports and succession planning through coaching, leadership development and training, and performance management.
• Ensure work areas meet or exceed applicable workplace safety standards, including yard cleanliness and, completing GEMBA walks.
• Ensure timely and effective communication with internal teams.
• As needed, coordinate and monitor the movement of inventory on the ground through the warehouse workflow; evaluate and distribute work and assigned shifts to meet business needs.
