Job summary

Carvana's Logistics Field Operations location seeks an experienced operations leader to oversee day-to-day transportation activities, develop site goals, and coordinate with scheduling to optimize routes.

You will mentor teams, ensure safety standards, manage shifts, and drive performance while ensuring timely communications with internal groups; this role requires DOT knowledge and a proven leadership track, including CDL-related experience. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT compliance/regulations and safety standards.
• 2+ years in people leadership roles.
• 3+ years in logistics or supply chain operations.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in related field.
• Experience mentoring staff and managing CDL drivers.
• Transportation experience including vehicle transporter/tractor trailer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day transportation operations at locations with other site leaders.
• Develop site-specific goals and ensure alignment and execution.
• Review daily route schedules and coordinate with planning to address issues.
• Mentor direct reports and manage performance and succession planning.
• Ensure safety standards, yard cleanliness, and GEMBA walks.
• Maintain timely communication with internal teams.
• Coordinate and monitor inventory movement and shift distribution as needed.
