Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC is hiring at the Joliet, IL location for an Operations Supervisor who will lead a team of drivers and hourly staff to execute daily logistics tasks while meeting customer requirements and cost objectives.

The role supervises loading/unloading, dispatch, documentation, and reporting, with a salary range of $56,200–$74,500 and bonus eligibility based on performance and location. Shift is Mon-Fri, 2:00pm–11:00pm, with flexibility during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect, build rapport and maintain relationships with associates and customers.
• Must work efficiently and independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to actively listen are required.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers and operations at a single location to meet customer requirements and company goals.
• Provide operational leadership to hourly workforce for daily task execution and customer service.
• Manage performance, provide coaching, and make corrective decisions up to written warnings.
• Participate in hiring and attend customer meetings as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with financial, safety, and operational procedures.
