Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking a results-driven supervisor to oversee transportation and customs processes, ensuring accurate documentation and high-quality customer service for imported/exported goods in compliance with regulations.

The role involves leading a team, monitoring performance, and coordinating with operations to maintain efficient shipment flow. A high school diploma plus relevant experience is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred and industrial experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 4+ years related experience; 1 year supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Logistics or Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Finance or related discipline preferred.
• Three years of industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
• Provide supervision and control for all departmental activities; assist in retention and training of staff and customers; conduct meetings to discuss improvements.
• Oversee shipment documentation accuracy; review invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements for regulatory compliance.
• Compute duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight and volume for import/export; communicate with customs officials to obtain release of freight and resolve delays.
• Establish, monitor and revise policies for customs clearance operations; ensure consistent administration.
• Identify areas of concern in import/export processes through audits and client reviews.
• Communicate with operations manager about progress; maintain flexible work schedule including after-hours on-call rotation.
• Participate in or supervise department projects related to responsibility area.
