Job summary

Jobtailor in Missouri is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Specialist to support freight billing, data entry, and compliance monitoring in a fast-paced transportation environment. You will handle AR/AP tasks, payroll data, Haz-Mat information, and coordinate with supervisors, drivers, and dock workers.

Strong Microsoft Office skills and accuracy are essential. Night shift hours may be required and the ability to work with little supervision is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in English with internal and external customers.
• Previous experience in transportation or customer service is a plus.
• Experience with Haz-Mat or worker’s compensation is helpful.
• Strong typing and ten key skills with attention to detail.
• Night shift hours may be required and flexibility is important.

Responsibilities

• Communicate via telephone, email, and fax with customers regarding freight charges, pickups, tracing, tracking, and PODs.
• Perform data entry including scanning bills, P&D entry, fuel mileage, and payroll.
• Process paperwork and invoices; monitor checks for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Process and monitor Haz-Mat information for loads departing or arriving at the facility.
• Interact with and support supervisors, drivers, and dock workers; monitor compliance for new hires and safety.
