Job summary

SlingShot Connections is seeking a Logistics Operations Specialist in California to support daily logistics, transportation coordination, and customs compliance, ensuring accurate shipment documentation and timely handling of discrepancies.

You will collaborate with customs brokers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues, process invoices, and monitor performance. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in logistics management, transportation, and import/export compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Experience with the classification process.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, formulas, and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Support daily logistics operations, including shipment tracking and transportation coordination.
• Resolve customs clearance issues with customs brokers.
• Maintain customs compliance related to C-TPAT, ANL, and HTS code maintenance.
• Validate customs entry documentation before carrier invoices are generated.
• Conduct internal audits of trade activities and implement corrective actions.
• Review and process logistics vendor invoices.
• Perform invoice aging reconciliation with carriers.
• Monitor incident reports for shipment exceptions and take corrective actions.
• Manage RMA handling, including shipping labels and monitoring returns.
• Coordinate with shippers regarding customs import clearance inquiries.
• Collaborate with customs brokers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and adapt to changing needs.

The Logistics Operations Specialist will support daily logistics operations, transportation, customs

compliance, vendor invoicing, and shipment exception resolution.

• Conduct regular internal audits of trade activities, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
• Review and process logistics vendor invoices
• Perform invoice aging reconciliation with carriers
• Monitor incident reports for shipment exceptions and take corrective actions
• Manage RMA handling, including creating shipping labels and monitoring return shipments to designated locations
