Job summary

SimPL Freight Solutions is seeking a Logistics Manager in Raleigh, NC to lead at least one key customer account and drive end-to-end shipment movements. You will coordinate daily activities with the team, manage carrier relationships, and communicate directly with the customer to ensure exceptional service.

Qualifications

• One year of transportation or logistics experience and a high school diploma or GED.
• One year of account management experience.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (not required).
• MS Office 365 proficiency including Excel, SharePoint & PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with TMS and carrier procurement.

Responsibilities

• Build strong working relationships with the customer and core carriers that support the movement of assigned customer accounts’ shipments.
• Collaborate with the SimPL Account Managers to ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded.
• Oversee and motivate team members to exhibit high performance in their respective roles.
• Ensure the successful movement of all shipments for dedicated customer accounts and handle any escalated operational issues related to assigned customer accounts.
• Utilize the TMS to maximize freight transportation life cycle; ensuring detailed and accurate data is input and maintained in the system for dedicated accounts.
• Manage carrier procurement for shipments and build relationships with partner carriers.
