Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Manager Trainee in the Supply Chain department.

The role involves learning to manage a small driver count and non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends, to ensure safe and timely freight movement and top-tier customer service. You will train to ensure DOT compliance and handle driver and company policy adherence. The position focuses on planning, routing, monitoring, and reporting freight movements, with opportunities to gain experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field.
• Ability to travel to account, customer, and company events.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends.
• Willingness to relocate regionally if required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and carriers to set up new carrier relationships and improve productivity.
• Fill in for absent personnel and support special projects to optimize fleet operations and profitability.
• Learn personnel management including training and orientation of drivers and staff, and assist with internal systems.
• Develop reporting and financial analysis for customers and management.
