Job summary

is seeking a Manager Trainee to learn the management of a small driver count and non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends, while ensuring safe and timely movement of freight and best-in-class customer service. This role trains to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and supports planning, routing, monitoring and delivery of loads with internal and external contacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain or related field, or 1 year management/transportation experience with a GED.
• Willing to travel to account, customer and company events as needed.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers and safe carriers to ensure seamless carrier setup and productivity.
• Fill in for absent personnel and participate in projects to optimize fleet operations.
• Train drivers and employees on systems and orientation processes.
• Analyze KPIs and prepare customer specific reporting and financial analyses.
• Manage inventory, assets, and driver assignments to balance equipment.
• Perform payroll, budget management, driver counseling, invoicing and related admin duties.
• Coordinate yard activities and maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
• Resolve service issues with drivers and customers and assist with routing and planning.
