J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Manager Trainee in the Supply Chain area to learn the fundamentals of managing a small driver count and non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends.

The role focuses on safe, timely freight movement, load planning, and delivering top-tier customer service while gaining familiarity with DOT compliance. You will be trained to manage drivers, coordinate with carriers and customers, and contribute to route optimization and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 1 year of related management/transport/logistics experience as alternative.
• Willing to travel to account, customer, and company events.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and weekends.
• Willingness to relocate regionally based on account assignment.

Responsabilités

• Learn to build and maintain relationships with drivers and carriers to set up new carriers and improve productivity.
• Fill in for absent personnel and support special projects to optimize fleet operations and profitability.
• Learn to train and orient drivers and staff on internal and customer systems.
• Analyze and report KPIs, optimize routes, and present customer reporting and financial analysis.
• Understand inventory, assets, and driver assignments to balance equipment.
• Perform administrative duties including payroll, budgeting, pay issue resolution, and reporting.
• Assist with yard management, equipment checks, maintenance coordination, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with drivers, customers and staff to resolve service issues, routing and_plan, and on-call situations.
• Promote safety culture and DOT compliance via driver safety messages and trainings.
• Plan loads to ensure safe on-time delivery and adjust ETAs as needed.

Formation

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain or related field

Willingness to travel

Multiple shifts including nights/weekends

Regional relocation as needed
