Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Manager Trainee to begin learning the management of small driver counts and non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends, to ensure safe, timely freight movement and best-in-class customer service.

The role includes training to ensure DOT regulatory compliance and managing driver and company compliance while collaborating with internal and external contacts to plan, route, monitor, and deliver freight successfully.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with up to 4 years of equivalent education, experience and training, and/or pursuing a degree with ability to work across multiple shifts (including nights and/or weekends).
• Bachelor’s degree with ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends; if applicable, travel may be required.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of or equivalent education, experience and training; prior internship training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and safe outside carriers.
• Fill in for absent personnel and on special projects to optimize fleet operations and profitability.
• Train and assist with driver onboarding and internal/customer systems.
