Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. in Maxton, NC is seeking a Manager Trainee to learn the end‑to‑end management of a small driver count, coordinate schedules, and deliver best‑in‑class customer service while receiving DOT compliance training.

You will develop skills in building driver relationships, aligning with outside carriers, handling payroll and budgeting tasks, monitoring metrics, and producing operational and financial reports, all within a structured Supply Chain environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or high school diploma with 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to travel to account, customer, and company events as needed.
• Willingness to work multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build positive relationships with drivers and carriers for new setups and retention.
• Fill in for absent personnel and support special fleet optimization projects.
• Assist with training drivers and use internal/customer systems.
• Plan, route, monitor freight movement and generate customer‑facing reports.
