Job summary

J.B. Hunt is offering a Manager Trainee role in the Supply Chain department. The position focuses on learning the management of a small driver count, scheduling, routing, and ensuring safe, timely freight movement while upholding DOT compliance.

You'll develop skills in fleet operations, payroll-related tasks, P&L familiarity, and staff training. The program emphasizes leadership, performance metrics, and customer-focused problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field; or a HS diploma with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel to account, customer, and company events as needed.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build and maintain professional relationships with drivers and safe external carriers.
• Fill in for absent personnel and work on special projects to optimize fleet operations.
• Assist in training drivers and staff on internal and customer systems.
• Plan, route, monitor freight movements and ensure on-time service and customer satisfaction.
