Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Texas is seeking a Manager Trainee to learn the management of a small driver count and non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends, while ensuring safe, on-time freight movement and top-tier customer service.

Training covers DOT compliance, driver supervision, cost control, load planning, and reporting. You will gain experience across payroll, budgeting, and asset management, with opportunities to advance within a nationwide logistics leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management or related field; or GED with 1 year of related experience.
• Willing to travel to account, customer, and company event locations.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends and willingness to relocate regionally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build relationships with drivers and carriers to set up new carriers and maximize productivity.
• Support fleet optimization, budgeting, and KPI reporting on projects.
• Learn payroll, Net-Revenue budgeting, driver coaching, and preparation of operational/financial reports.
• Plan and assign loads, route freight, monitor movement to meet customer requirements and optimize efficiency.
