Job summary

Olin Chemicals is seeking a Logistics Intern in Houston, TX to support the Transportation and Logistics teams through data analysis and shipment tracking. The role offers exposure to supply chain management within a manufacturing environment and includes a housing stipend.

Candidates must be enrolled in a Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics program with a 3.0+ GPA, and be able to work full-time (40 hours/week). TWIC is required and Olin does not sponsor work visas.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a college/university majoring in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• GPA 3.0+ on a 4.0 scale at all times; official transcript required each term.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) for rotation or year-round; may be part-time during classes.
• Must obtain TWIC and be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship.

Salary: $25.00 / hour for undergraduate students; $33.00 / hour for graduate students

Focus:

The Logistics Intern will support the Transportation and Logistics teams through data analysis, assisting with rail fleet activities, monitoring shipment movements, and identifying opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency. This role provides exposure to logistics operations, transportation planning, customer service, and supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do:

Assist with tracking and monitoring shipments and transportation activities to support customer and business needsAnalyze logistics and supply chain data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for process improvementCollaborate with cross-functionals teams on transportation-related projects and initiativesPrepare reports, presentations, and other documentation to support logistics planning and decision-making

What You'll Bring:

Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate or graduate Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related degree program (or pending enrollment in a Master's program in one of these disciplines)Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time at Olin. An official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations.Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the rotation or continuously throughout the year (can be part-time while taking classes)Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)*Olin does not provide any form of sponsorship.
