Job summary

Olin is seeking a Logistics Intern in Houston, TX to support the Transportation and Logistics teams through data analysis, tracking shipments, and identifying opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency.

The role offers full-time hours, a housing stipend, and exposure to logistics operations, planning, customer service and reporting. Eligibility includes being enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate business/supply chain program with a 3.0 GPA and the ability to obtain a TWIC.

  • The candidate is enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • GPA of 3.0/4.0 required at all times; official transcript required each term.

Title: Logistics Intern
Location: Houston, TX

Salary: $25.00 / hour for undergraduate students; $33.00 / hour for graduate students
Housing Stipend Available

Focus: The Logistics Intern will support the Transportation and Logistics teams through data analysis, assisting with rail fleet activities, monitoring shipment movements, and identifying opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency. This role provides exposure to logistics operations, transportation planning, customer service, and supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do:
  • Assist with tracking and monitoring shipments and transportation activities to support customer and business needs
  • Analyze logistics and supply chain data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for process improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functionals teams on transportation-related projects and initiatives
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation to support logistics planning and decision-making
What You'll Bring:
  • Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate or graduate Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related degree program (or pending enrollment in a Master's program in one of these disciplines)
  • Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time at Olin. An official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the rotation or continuously throughout the year (can be part-time while taking classes)
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
