Job summary

Olin is seeking a Sustainability Intern in Houston, TX. The role supports the Sustainability team across systems, data, and compliance, collaborating with legal, finance, operations, and supply chain as well as external suppliers and auditors.

You will contribute to credible sustainability reporting and gain hands-on project experience in a rotating internship. Enrollment in undergraduate Environmental or Chemical Engineering, a 3.0+ GPA, and availability for at least one term (20 hours/week)

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate Environmental or Chemical Engineering degree program.
• GPA 3.0+ on a 4.0 scale; official transcript required each term.
• Sophomore year completed (or 60 credits) prior to first rotation.
• Able to work year-round, part-time (20 hours/week); not eligible for virtual work.

Title: Sustainability Intern (Multiple Semesters Required)

Location: Houston, TX

Salary: $30.00 / hour

Focus: The Sustainability Intern supports the Sustainability team across systems, data, and compliance. This role will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (legal, finance, operations, supply chain) and external partners (suppliers, auditors) with the Sustainability team in maintaining robust, transparent, and credible sustainability reporting practices.

What You'll Do:

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects throughout the term, to be defined at the beginning of the rotation based on department and business need.
• Collect sustainability data, reviewing data submissions, and perform quality assurance
• Maintain sustainability datasets, spreadsheets, and reporting templates
• Assist with regular reporting activities, preparing data submissions and reporting requirements, and other data requests for stakeholders

What You'll Bring:

• Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Environmental or Chemical Engineering degree program
• Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time at Olin. An official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations.
• Must have completed sophomore year (or 60 completed credit hours) prior to first rotation with Olin
• Ability to work continuously throughout the year, can be part-time (20 hours per week) while taking classes. Not eligible for virtual work.
