Logistics Information Systems and Data Analyst
ManTech seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Logistics Information Systems and Data Analyst to join our team in Herndon, VA.
As a Logistics Information Systems and Data Analyst, you will lead the integration and implementation of Logistic Common Operating Picture tools for situational awareness and decision support for logistics personnel. Your role will enable them to optimize resources, advise commanders, and support decisions related to distribution networks, procurements, positioning of supplies and equipment, and:
- Optimizing distribution networks: Identify the most efficient routes and methods for delivering supplies.
- Supporting procurements: Ensure that the right quantities of supplies are ordered and available when needed.
- Positioning supplies and equipment: Determine optimal locations for storage and deployment.
- Advising or influencing operational commanders: Provide a clear picture of the logistics situation to facilitate informed decision-making.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Technical Acumen: Develop LOGCOP visualizations and track movements of troops and equipment globally (Air, Sea, Ground). Create Keyhole Markle Language (KML) products and overlays over critical terrain or infrastructure, managing logistics operations crucial for maintaining U.S. combat capabilities in an Area of Operations, including logistics services such as food, petroleum products, equipment distribution, and maintenance support.
- System Management: Manage logistical systems and data sources to ensure full operational capability and provide updates. These systems reside on various Internet Protocol Routers, including NIPR, SIPR, CENTRIXS-J and K, IMN, MPE, and BICES.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Provide logistic analysis, metrics, and actionable updates. Report the status of critical supplies (Class V, III, I, etc.) and identify system needs for mission success.
This position requires 100% travel to client sites, including overnight and extended stays.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 15+ years managing logistic data sources supporting multiple COCOMs (CENTCOM, EUCOM, INODPACOM/USFK).
- Experience with systems such as GCCS-M, GCSS-A, NAVAIR, LIMS, MAVEN Smart System (Palantir), ADVANA, LOGCOP, Google Earth, AFATDS, JADOCS, TAIS.
- Familiarity with military supply chains, deployment procedures, and handling sensitive or hazardous materials.
- Proficiency in supply chain software, data analytics tools, and cybersecurity to optimize logistics operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Logistics, Engineering, Military Operational/Strategic Studies, or related fields.
- Completion of military operational or strategic planning courses.
- Training or certification with ADVANA or data analytics platforms like QLIK.
- Experience tracking logistic data across transportation, munitions, fuel, and commercial logistics capabilities.
Clearance Requirements: Must have a current/active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and senior personnel.
- Constant operation of computers and office machinery.
- Frequent communication with colleagues and management, including delivering presentations.
- Occasional movement within the office to access files and equipment.
