Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. is seeking a full-time on-site Logistics Coordinator to assign work for company and owner operator drivers transporting freight. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 11:30am - 8pm.

Responsibilities include compiling lists of available drivers, assigning trucks, issuing paperwork, tracking departures, and communicating with customers to resolve delays. The role emphasizes daily driver communication and on-site work with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and maintains list of available drivers.
• Assigns trucks according to availability, purpose of trip, and freight.
• Issues record sheets, and all related paperwork to drivers.
• Trouble shooting and notifying appropriate parties of any changes.
• Records time of departure, destination, cargo, and expected time of return.
• Investigates overdue vehicles.
• Confers with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise.
• Heavy communication with drivers on a daily basis.
