Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. is seeking a full-time, on-site dispatcher to coordinate owner-operator trailer drivers for freight conveyance. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 11:30am to 8pm, with daily driver contact and coordination.

Responsibilities include compiling and maintaining driver lists, assigning trucks by trip purpose, issuing records, tracking departures and cargo, and notifying parties of changes. The company offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and maintains list of available drivers.
• Assigns trucks according to availability, purpose of trip, and freight.
• Issues record sheets and related paperwork to drivers.
• Troubleshooting and notifying appropriate parties of changes.
• Records time of departure, destination, cargo, and return times.
• Investigates overdue vehicles.
• Confers with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise.
• Heavy daily communication with drivers.
• Position is full time and on-site.
