Job summary

Radius Recycling, Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher to schedule and transmit drivers and equipment for transportation of materials, freight, service, or emergency repairs while maintaining compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards at multiple facilities.

The role emphasizes safe, efficient operations and timely communications with the Logistics Manager and drivers. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in a similar role, familiarity with DOT regulations, and the ability to oversee road

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role or related field.
Familiarity with DOT regulations and scrap industry preferred.
Proven ability to schedule and dispatch drivers to locations according to requests.
Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, managers, and customers.

Responsibilities

Schedule and dispatch drivers and equipment per customer requests.
Confer with drivers to address questions, problems, and service requests.
Relay information to/from the Logistics Manager and other Dispatchers.
Organize road testing requirements for newly hired drivers.
Monitor driver electronic logs to ensure DOT compliance.
Monitor equipment locations and utilization for maintenance and transfers.
Support internal control processes and report noncompliance or policy violations.
