Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a front-line supervisor to oversee the location, assign work to non-exempt personnel, and help achieve daily operational goals within the functional area.

The role requires experience in warehouse or distribution environments, DOT/OSHA familiarity, and proficiency with routing software. You will manage payroll-related processes, safety training, and KPI reporting while acting as a liaison between hourly staff and management.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year in Warehouse, Transportation, Logistics or distribution environment.
• 1+ year in a customer service environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse, software applications, routing and dispatching software applications – intermediate.
• Understanding of DOT, OSHA and all safety regulations – preferred.

Responsibilities

• Payroll/Billing compliance with Safety, Maintenance and Compliance.
• DOT log review, preparation and submission.
• Conducts Safety Training/Orientations.
• First point of contact for collisions and injuries.
• Updates/Maintains STAR.
• Conducts safety meetings with management.
• Handles frontline customer requests; identifies and elevates issues.
• Liaises between hourly workers and management.
• Quality Assurance.
• Dispatch/Routing.
• Driver communications and weekly paycheck stubs.
• P&L responsibility (supplies, expenses).
• Maintains location A/P log.
• Supply/uniform ordering.
• Attendance records for hourly employees.
• KPI reporting to Manager.
• RD 2000 responsibilities; SOX invoice reconciliation for approval.
• Recommends location process improvements.
