Job summary

Syfan Logistics is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to work with the logistics operations team to ensure on-time service for all shipments. You will communicate with carriers and customers, maintaining strong relationships and delivering high levels of service.

The role emphasizes proficiency with our transportation management system, data accuracy, and teamwork in a high-demand, open office environment. Daytime to weekend shifts are possible.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills handling difficult carrier and customer situations professionally.
• Basic computer proficiency using Microsoft Office and transportation management systems.
• Excellent organizational, time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing situations.
• Ability to receive coaching and follow procedures and management directions.

Responsibilities

• Dispatches carriers by phone and computer in an efficient and professional manner.
• Manages load information including pick-up and delivery times using TMS.
• Tracks and communicates driver movements to shippers and receivers per procedures.
• Directs and resolves inbound calls from drivers and carriers for accurate status updates.
• Updates Carrier Sales and Customer Reps about delays or issues as needed.
• Validates load data before delivery and documents discrepancies.
• Documents communications with carriers and customers in the TMS logs.
• Proactively identifies load issues and helps implement solutions.
• Performs other duties to support optimal operations.
