Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year dispatch, logistics, or transportation operations experience.
• Working knowledge of FMCSA hours-of-service rules and ELD.
• Strong geography and map-reading skills across the service region.

Responsibilities

• Assign loads to drivers based on location, equipment, and delivery windows.
• Build efficient routes to reduce empty miles, fuel costs, and tolls.
• Book and confirm pickup/delivery with shippers and receivers.
• Act as primary driver contact during shift and monitor via ELD/GPS.
• Reroute drivers to avoid delays and coordinate roadside assistance.
• Provide customers and brokers with accurate ETAs and delay notices.
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA hours-of-service and safety procedures.
• Record load status and documents in the TMS for billing.
