Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Reading, PA to coordinate vendors and couriers, schedule dispatches, and ensure on-time deliveries. You will liaise with customers and internal teams to manage routes, optimize performance, and resolve issues quickly.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and problem solving skills.

• Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
• Accurately and quickly able to read maps.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch vendors or independent contractors to locations per customer requests using phones and dispatch software.
• Communicate data (customer locations, pickup type, scanning and temperature requirements) to vendors at dispatch.
• Receive, input and distribute On Demand work orders, PODs, and manifests; prepare reports as required by management.
• Serve as a contact for vendors within route territories and inform them of traffic problems and hazards.
• Manage contact with vendors to ensure all routes are covered as needed.
• Determine responses to emergencies, accidents, and breakdowns.
• Explain Chain of Custody standards to Capstone Logistics customers.
• Resolve vendor problems or grievances and refer to vendor management if needed.
• Prioritize incoming calls based on importance.
• Provide support to customer service during peak seasons.
• Ensure policies in the Independent Contractor Operating Agreement are followed.
• Decide delivery methods to meet or exceed customer service expectations.
• Maintain documentation status of each job within the dispatch POD.
• Provide timely and efficient courier service and keep customers informed of route changes.
• Address customer questions, problems, and requests for service with supervising personnel.
• Keep customers updated on route schedules and On Demand delays.
