Job summary

The role requires strong problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills to plan daily operations, monitor KPIs, and ensure safe, efficient service, including up to 75 drivers and coordination with terminal staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; degree preferred.
• Logistics dispatch/scheduling experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft and logistics apps.
• Ability to solve problems under pressure with good judgment.
• Strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out shipping operations with dispatchers and fleet managers.
• Develop daily operating plan to meet KPIs.
• Evaluate and improve plans for payload, on-time deliveries, and loaded mile %.
• Collaborate with Scheduling Team Leaders on growth opportunities for assets.
• Adjust plans to maximize growth, efficiency and safety.
• Solicit freight opportunities from customers.
• Update sourcing and revise daily plan as needed.
• Maintain positive work atmosphere and efficient operations.
• Communicate with customers, drivers, and other departments.
• Manage day-to-day operations of up to 75 drivers.
• Coordinate maintenance with Terminal Managers and Lead Technicians.
