Job summary

Maersk is seeking an on-site dispatcher to assign and manage company and owner-operator trailer drivers for freight transport. The role operates Monday to Friday, 11:30am to 8pm, within a busy logistics environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining driver lists, scheduling, issuing paperwork, and coordinating with customers to resolve delays while ensuring timely departures and deliveries. High school diploma or GED required; related experience acceptable.

• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for coordinating drivers and schedules.

• Investigates overdue vehicles and coordinates with customers to locate missing or delayed merchandise.
• Heavy daily communication with drivers.
• Position is full time and on-site.

Position Summary

Assigns work for Company and owner operator trailer drivers for conveyance of freight by performing the following duties.

Monday to Friday - 11:30am - 8pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Compiles and maintains list of available drivers. Assigns trucks according to availability, purpose of trip, and freight. Issues record sheets, and all related paperwork to drivers. Trouble shooting and notifying appropriate parties of any changes. Records time of departure, destination, cargo, and expected time of return. Investigates overdue vehicles. Confers with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise. Heavy communication with drivers on a daily basis.

Position is full time and on‑site.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Range

$65,000 - $70,000 *The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
