Wavepoint is seeking a Logistics Coordinator/LTL Specialist to coordinate Less-Than-Truckload shipments and optimize cost-effective transport solutions. You will work with carriers, provide exceptional customer service, and manage freight logistics efficiently.

Key duties include securing competitive rates, coordinating with LTL carriers, scheduling, tracking shipments, and handling claims. The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and TMS proficiency, with a focus on data accuracy

Qualifications

• Experience in LTL logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation management.
• Strong understanding of LTL pricing, freight classifications, and carrier networks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and data entry skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, professional customer service regarding LTL shipments and resolve issues.

• Plan, schedule, and dispatch shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Monitor shipments, provide updates, and address transit issues.
• Process and track freight claims with proper documentation.
• Maintain accurate shipment details and carrier information in systems.
• Develop and nurture relationships with existing customers to foster repeat business.
• Conduct outbound calls to generate new business opportunities.
• Support additional logistics functions as needed to ensure efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Provide prompt and professional support to customers regarding LTL shipments, resolving issues effectively.
• Rate Quotes & Shopping Rates: Obtain competitive freight rates by comparing carrier pricing and service levels.
• LTL Carrier Coordination: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with LTL carriers to optimize service and costs.
• Freight Scheduling: Plan, schedule, and dispatch shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Tracking & Tracing Freight: Monitor shipments, provide updates to customers, and address any transit issues proactively.
• Filing Claims: Process and track freight claims, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
• Data Entry: Maintain accurate shipment details, carrier information, and customer records in company systems.
• Customer Relationship Management: Develop and nurture relationships with existing customers to foster repeat business.
• Cold Calling New Customers: Conduct outbound calls to generate new business opportunities and expand customer base.
• All Other Duties as Assigned: Support additional logistics functions as needed to ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in LTL freight management or a similar role is a plus.
