Wavepoint Logistics Service, LLC is seeking a Logistics Coordinator/LTL Specialist to coordinate Less-Than-Truckload shipments, optimize cost and ensure timely delivery. You will work with carriers, provide customer service, and manage freight logistics efficiently.

Responsibilities include obtaining rate quotes, coordinating with LTL carriers, scheduling, tracking shipments, filing claims, data entry, and building relationships with customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in LTL logistics or freight management.
• Strong knowledge of LTL pricing and carrier networks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in logistics software and TMS.
• Detail-oriented with strong data entry and MS Excel.

Description

The Logistics Coordinator/LTL Specialist coordinates Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipments while ensuring cost-effective and timely transportation solutions. This role involves working with carriers, providing exceptional customer service, and managing freight logistics efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Provide prompt and professional support to customers regarding LTL shipments, resolving issues effectively.
• Rate Quotes & Shopping Rates: Obtain competitive freight rates by comparing carrier pricing and service levels.
• LTL Carrier Coordination: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with LTL carriers to optimize service and costs.
• Freight Scheduling: Plan, schedule, and dispatch shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Tracking & Tracing Freight: Monitor shipments, provide updates to customers, and address any transit issues proactively.
• Filing Claims: Process and track freight claims, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
• Data Entry: Maintain accurate shipment details, carrier information, and customer records in company systems.
• Customer Relationship Management: Develop and nurture relationships with existing customers to foster repeat business.
• Cold Calling New Customers: Conduct outbound calls to generate new business opportunities and expand customer base.
• All Other Duties as Assigned: Support additional logistics functions as needed to ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience in LTL logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation management.
• Strong understanding of LTL pricing, freight classifications, and carrier networks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and data entry skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required; a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in LTL freight management or a similar role is a plus.
