Job summary

Scotlynn Group in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support Logistics Account Managers with daily freight operations, load planning, scheduling pickups and deliveries, and preparing BOLs for invoicing.

You will communicate with carriers and customers, enter data into the fleet system, track shipments, and help resolve issues. Eligible candidates may receive quarterly bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Business Administration or related fields of logistics preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
• Ability to think proactively and plan ahead.
• Knowledge of multiple transportation and logistics disciplines; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to multi-task and problem-solve.

Responsibilities

• Accepting customer loads upon approval of the Logistics Account Manager, building loads, booking loads, organizing loads and tracking loads.
• Notifying customers of freight arrivals, pickups, movement, and deliveries.
• Maintaining lines of communication with carriers, customers, shipping, and receiving facilities.
• Data entry into fleet management system and online platforms.
• Retaining records of purchase orders and various administrative tasks.
• Contacting customers, carriers, or distribution facilities to resolve problems or make adjustments.
• Continuously communicating with the Logistics Account Manager to ensure proper maintenance of accounts.
• Negotiating contracts for individual freight shipments.
