Job summary

Akima is seeking a Material Coordinator to manage the movement, accountability, and documentation of Army equipment at a contractor‑managed turn‑in site. You will coordinate receipt, staging, and disposition, and ensure compliance with Army regulations and contract requirements.

The role requires strong logistics knowledge, 3–5 years of experience, and ability to work with Army units, COR, and contractor staff. CAC and background checks are prerequisites; travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Associate’s in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus.
• 3–5 years of logistics, supply, or materiel management experience.
• Prior U.S. Army or contractor experience in equipment turn‑in or supply support activities (SSA) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the receipt, staging, and movement of equipment turned in by Army units.
• Review and validate supply documents and ensure data entry into Army systems.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff for storage, location management, and retrieval of equipment.
• Schedule and track incoming and outgoing shipments; prepare cargo movement requests and load plans.
• Assist unit supply personnel during turn-in and liaise between contractor staff, Army units, and COR.
