Boutique Recruiting in Tampa, FL seeks a Logistics Coordinator to own freight operations, book freight, negotiate with carriers, monitor shipments and keep the sales team informed of changes and capacity. Manage high volume of dry and refrigerated freight with accurate TMS data and strong carrier relationships.

The ideal candidate has 1–3+ years in logistics, 3PL exposure, strong Excel skills, and an independent work style.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of logistics, sales support, or administrative experience.
• Logistics experience in 3PL and full truckload transportation is preferred.
• Familiar with refrigerated, dry van and other freight markets.
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable with formulas.
• Able to navigate TMS platforms and load boards.

Responsibilities

• Book available freight for assigned accounts across dry and refrigerated shipments.
• Source trucks and negotiate with carriers based on market conditions, capacity, and pricing.
• Navigate load boards and rating tools to identify carrier options.
• Enter shipment details into the TMS accurately.
• Schedule pickup/delivery and confirm appointments for tendered freight.
• Track carrier movements and provide daily shipment updates in the TMS.
• Communicate delays and changes to the sales team.
• Build and maintain carrier relationships via phone and email.

Position Title: Logistics Coordinator

Take ownership of freight operations in a fast-moving environment where independence, initiative, and strong execution are rewarded. We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support sales and logistics operations by booking freight, sourcing and negotiating with carriers, monitoring shipments, and keeping the sales team informed of changes, delays, and capacity. This role will manage a high volume of dry and refrigerated freight while maintaining accurate information within the TMS and building strong carrier relationships.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, adaptable self-starter with logistics experience who can work independently, solve problems quickly, and take ownership without needing constant direction. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their logistics expertise while building toward future growth into a sales-focused role.

Salary Range: $60,000–$75,000 / Year, DOE + commission

Responsibilities

• Book available freight for assigned accounts across dry and refrigerated shipments
• Source trucks and negotiate with carriers based on freight market conditions, capacity, and pricing
• Navigate load boards and rating tools to identify appropriate carrier options
• Receive orders from sales and accurately enter shipment details into the TMS
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments and confirm appointments for all tendered freight
• Track carrier movements and maintain accurate daily shipment updates within the TMS
• Proactively communicate delays, breakdowns, missed pickups, appointment issues, and other shipment changes to the sales team
• Build and maintain professional carrier relationships through frequent phone and email communication

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of logistics, sales support, or administrative experience
• Logistics industry experience required, ideally within 3PL and full truckload transportation
• Working knowledge of freight markets including refrigerated, dry van, flatbed, and truckload freight
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and working knowledge of formulas
• Comfortable learning and navigating TMS platforms, load boards, and other logistics technology
• Strong professional phone presence and ability to communicate effectively with carriers and internal teams
• Highly independent, motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
