Job summary

Covenant Logistics is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Chattanooga, TN. The CSR will manage relationships with assigned customers, coordinate load information, monitor service performance, and communicate proactively to resolve issues.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or 1+ year experience in business or logistics, familiarity with MS Word/Excel and TMW, and can work occasional evenings or weekends. Transportation industry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1+ years equivalent experience in Business, Logistics, or other relevant area.
• Experience in the transportation industry, preferably in Fleet Management, Load Planning or Customer Service is preferred.
• AS400/TMW experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and retain business relationships with assigned customers
• Manage account relationships as the primary point of contact for day-to-day needs, including ongoing communications, coordination of customer needs, billing, collections, and other activities
• Identify and qualify additional opportunities with existing customers through relationship building
• Understand current market conditions to identify additional opportunities to increase margins
• Monitor service to meet customer expectations
• Monitor EDI for any load tenders
• Follow up with customers on any missed loads / service issues
• Review turnover left by extended coverage to update customers on any customer issues
