Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a Logistics Center General Manager to lead a large-scale operation including the wholesale outlet floor, dock, salvage, and donations. You will drive profitability while overseeing 50-100+ associates across multiple shifts in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities include safeguarding assets, improving inbound/outbound flow, and delivering excellent customer service. Strong leadership, budgeting, and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in a warehouse/distribution setting preferred.
• Experience managing 50+ associates across multiple shifts preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, GPS, internet and various applications.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Strong reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to communicate with diverse personalities and stakeholders.
• Proficient in salvage loading techniques, tracking, and reporting.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, overnights and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to assigned work locations.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee logistics center operations to ensure consistency with SOPs and policies.
• Supervise department managers, the logistics center team, and outlet donation specialists across shifts.
• Coordinate aftermarket resale and salvage operations to maximize profitability.
• Oversee donation products flow from collection to distribution ensuring quality and service.
• Manage inbound/outbound flows, promotions, and transportation aligned with profitability.
• Lead workforce planning across multiple shifts and training initiatives.
• Maintain building/equipment to company standards and safety policies.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and proper reporting of daily activity.
