Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Experience in claims, insurance, customer service, logistics or related field is a plus
• Strong organizational and clerical skills; high attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly

Responsibilities

• Manage freight claims involving loss, damage, delays, and other shipment issues
• Gather and review documentation such as photos, bills of lading, PODs, delivery receipts, and statements
• Track claim status, deadlines, credits, and reimbursements
• Communicate professionally with carriers and customers regarding claims
• Support carrier onboarding and maintain accurate carrier profiles
• Verify insurance coverage, authority, safety ratings, and required documentation
• Monitor compliance requirements and expiration dates
• Track carrier service failures and compliance issues
• Work with operations to facilitate timely carrier onboarding
• Support risk mitigation and resolution of carrier-related issues
• Assist with reputation management and industry review platforms
