Job summary

RJW Transport, Inc. in Illinois is seeking an Administrative Clerk I to handle customer orders, schedule pickups and deliveries, and maintain accurate records in the Transport Operations Department.

The role requires basic office clerical skills, a minimum of 1–2 years’ clerical experience, ability to type 40 wpm, and strong communication. You will work in an indoor office, with opportunities for growth and foundational training.

Qualifications

• Must type at least 40 wpm.
• 1–2 years of clerical experience.
• Basic transportation/logistics experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer orders and scan/index documents.
• Schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Document orders and update customer contact information.
• Maintain communications about schedule changes and potential service failures.
• Update reports for operations manager and COO.
• Assist local dispatcher with Tee Cards.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
