Siemens Mobility in New Castle, Delaware, seeks a Mechanical Desk Engineer to monitor fleet performance, support maintenance planning, and resolve technical challenges with Customer Service teams and depots.

You will drive reliability improvements, collaborate with product managers, software engineers and field technicians, and provide calm, real-time phone support to keep locomotives operating safely and efficiently.

Qualificações

Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
Proven ability to solve practical problems and adapt to changing or ambiguous situations.
Follow a structured troubleshooting process in time-sensitive situations.
Strong Excel skills and willingness to learn CMMS.
Effective communication and organizational abilities.

Responsabilidades

Monitor fleet performance and equipment for Siemens locomotives to identify issues and support safe operations.
Drive reliability and continuous improvement to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Field Service Technicians to improve maintenance practices.
Provide real-time phone support to end users to accelerate troubleshooting.
Support failure investigations and complete Root Cause Analysis reports.
Review and update maintenance procedures to keep guidance accurate and actionable.
Resolve product and service issues by clarifying concerns and expediting corrective action.
