Wonder is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a busy Wonder location, overseeing kitchen, service, fulfillment and customer experience. You will own daily results, drive efficiency, and ensure quality across shifts.

You will manage labor, food costs, safety, and brand standards while coaching hourly employees and collaborating with the Senior Operations Leader on hiring and training. This role is critical to delivering consistent outcomes and growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing shift operations in food service, retail, hospitality, or similar setting.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proven track record of achieving operational KPIs like labor, throughput, and order accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Own daily execution across kitchen, fulfillment, service, and customer experience.
• Optimize labor deployment and lead shift readiness to meet volume targets.
• Use data/feedback to identify issues, make real-time decisions, and drive improvement.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks to maintain flow and consistency.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, labor, and health standards.
• Hold teams accountable for tools, equipment, and facilities to brand standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop hourly team members focusing on accountability and safety.
• Set expectations and provide real-time feedback and coaching.
• Monitor KPIs and escalate issues as needed.
• Partner with Senior Operations Leader on hiring, training and development.
• Maintain flawless brand standards across all stations and environments.
• Maintain shift checklists, opening/closing procedures, and handoffs.
• Execute new menu rollouts with clarity to the team.
• Manage daily labor plans and food cost targets.
• Manage inventory, waste reduction, and labeling standards.
• Analyze shift data and recommend process changes.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws.
• Support talent pipelines and coaching for future leadership.
