Job summary

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling in Indiana is seeking a Manager to lead daily operations, support technicians, and coordinate dispatch to ensure a superior customer experience from start to finish.

You will supervise staff, assist in budgeting, and ensure proper staffing, safety, and equipment use. This on-site role requires leadership, strong communication, and hands-on problem solving for ongoing service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED are required.
• 3+ years management experience preferred.
• A working knowledge of plumbing and HVAC are required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Strong supervisory experience, communication and computer skills are required.
• Ability to work after regular business hours as needed.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend and reach overhead.
• Must be able to climb and work on ladders.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Manages and develops staff, including hiring, scheduling, evaluating performance, and directing work assignments.
• Coordinates maintenance, service, and indoor air quality departments to improve efficiency; uses reports to monitor performance and identify improvements.
• Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborates with the general manager on budgeting.
• Generates reports and tracks inventory, tools, and vehicles.
• Reviews reports with management.
• Trains crews on proper use of materials and workmanship.
• Reviews payroll records to ensure proper pay.
• Communicates with dispatchers to assign technicians appropriately.
• Assesses staff training needs.
• Ensures vehicles are stocked and warranty parts are handled and stock replenished as needed.
