Job summary

Intuit is seeking TurboTax Local Service Experts to work on-site at a TurboTax location in the United States, delivering hands-on tax preparation, expert advice, and software support to individuals and small businesses.

You will build local client relationships, partner with a broader team, and participate in community outreach while helping customers navigate complex tax scenarios with clarity and care.

Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software.
• Familiarity with Circular 230
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit.
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business.
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms. Must be willing to use your name, picture for advertising.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax-related content and resources for your community.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing

Responsibilities

• Provide Tax Expertise - Give hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations.
• Be a Proactive Community Ambassador - Build and grow a new local customer base, identify prospects, collaborate with marketing tools, and lead local events.
• Champion the Full Intuit Ecosystem - Connect clients with related services such as bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, or Credit Karma.
• Build Relationships - Develop long-term trust to turn transactions into ongoing client relationships.
• Deliver a Best in Class Customer Experience - Ensure a high-quality client experience in-person and via video tools, guiding clients toward financial goals.
