Job summary

Intuit seeks a TurboTax - Local Service Expert to work onsite at a TurboTax location in the United States, providing hands-on tax preparation, expert advice, and software support for both personal and business clients. You will collaborate with a broader team of specialists to deliver end-to-end insights and expand the local client base.

The role emphasizes community engagement, local events, and cross-selling Intuit solutions, with the flexibility to grow within the Intuit ecosystem.

Qualifications

• EA/CPA/Attorney with strong tax preparation experience.
• Active PTIN required to file taxes.
• 3+ years filing 30+ federal/state 1040 returns per season with professional software (Circular 230 familiarity).
• Upskill into additional service types (bookkeeping, payroll, advisory) with training.
• onsite at a TurboTax office, 8:00–17:00, Mon–Fri, at least 20 hours/week.
• Complete required training and development as required by the business.
• Willing to wear Intuit uniforms and be used in advertising with name/picture.
• Interest in building local and online presence as a TurboTax Expert.
• English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory beyond tax filing.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation for TurboTax clients across personal and business income, deductions, and amendments.
• Lead discovery sessions and tax reviews to maximize refunds and provide future tax planning.
• Grow local client base through outreach, referrals, events, and partnerships.
• Connect clients to Intuit solutions like bookkeeping, payroll, and financial planning.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience and guide clients through complex tax scenarios.
