Job summary

Intuit seeks a TurboTax Local Service Expert to provide hands-on tax advice and complete tax returns at a local TurboTax location. You will work with a team of tax professionals to serve in-person and virtual clients, delivering end-to-end TurboTax experiences.

You\'ll grow the local client base, connect clients with bookkeeping, payroll, and planning services, and represent Intuit in community events, driving trust and long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience.
• Active PTIN required to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software.
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit.
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business including, but not limited to, compliance training, proficiency‑based up‑skilling, cross‑training of other products or offerings, and professional development.
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms. Must be willing to use your name, picture for advertising on goggle.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax‑related content and resources for your community in accordance with Intuit’s policies
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing

Responsibilities

• Provide Tax Expertise - Give hands‑on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations (e.g., personal and business income, deductions optimization, amendments). Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
• Be a Proactive Community Ambassador - Act as a local growth driver, identify prospects through outreach, grass‑roots marketing, referrals, and partnerships; lead local events and build brand awareness.
• Champion the Full Intuit Ecosystem - Connect clients with bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, or Credit Karma as needed to address broader needs.
• Build Relationships - Develop long-term trust to convert one-time transactions into multi-year engagements.
• Deliver a Best in Class Customer Experience - Provide professional, empathetic service and help clients achieve financial goals through in-person and virtual interactions.
