Job summary

Intuit seeks motivated individuals to join our TurboTax Local Service Expert team in a TurboTax location across the United States. You will provide hands-on tax preparation, expert tax advice, and software support in person and virtually, working closely with a team of tax professionals.

You will grow the local client base, engage with the community, and leverage Intuit marketing tools to deliver end-to-end tax services that connect clients to the broader Intuit ecosystem, including bookkeeping

Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software. Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas with training provided by Intuit.
• Must be onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business including compliance training and cross-training of other products.
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms and be photographed for advertising.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax-related content for your community
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing

Responsibilities

• Give hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
• Act as a local community ambassador, identify and pursue prospects through outreach, grass-roots marketing, referrals and partnerships.
• Develop deep understanding of clients' complete financial picture and connect them with Intuit solutions (bookkeeping, payroll, planning).
• Build relationships and deliver a best-in-class customer experience both in-person and via video tools.
