Job summary

Intuit Careers is hiring TurboTax - Local Service Experts to provide on-site tax preparation and advisory services at TurboTax locations across the United States. You will serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate personal and business tax needs while expanding TurboTax’s local client base.

You will collaborate with a team of specialists to deliver end-to-end Intuit experiences, integrating bookkeeping, payroll, and financial planning where appropriate.

Qualifications

• EA/CPA/practicing attorney with strong tax prep experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active PTIN as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax prep software; Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit.
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between 8:00 AM–5:00 PM local time, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business, including compliance training and cross-training of other products.
• Must be willing to wear Intuit uniforms and to use your name/picture for advertising.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax-related content for your community.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future planning advice.
• Act as a proactive community ambassador to grow a local customer base for TurboTax through outreach, events, and partnerships.
• Connect clients with Intuit solutions such as bookkeeping, payroll, and financial planning to address complete financial needs.
• Build long-term relationships by delivering a best-in-class customer experience in person and online.
