Job summary

Intuit in Altoona, IA is seeking dedicated TurboTax Local Service Experts to join our on-site team. You’ll provide hands-on tax advice, complete returns, and help clients navigate complex scenarios while leveraging our ecosystem of Intuit services in a collaborative setting.

You’ll grow a local client base, participate in community outreach, and ensure a seamless end-to-end TurboTax experience, staying client-focused and adaptable in a fast-changing tax season environment.

Qualifications

• EA/CPA/Practicing Attorney with tax prep experience and knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Active PTIN required to file taxes.
• Minimum 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal/state 1040s per season using professional tax software; Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Willing to upskill into additional service types with training provided by Intuit.
• Comfortable working onsite 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, for at least 20 hours per week; training may be required.
• Willing to wear Intuit uniforms and be used in advertising materials.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing

Responsibilities

• Provide Tax Expertise and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex situations.
• Be a Proactive Community Ambassador to grow a local customer base and drive loyalty.
• Champion the Full Intuit Ecosystem by connecting clients with bookkeeping, payroll, planning, or Credit Karma.
• Build relationships and deliver a best-in-class customer experience through in-person and virtual interactions.
• Lead local events and outreach with TurboTax marketing support to raise brand awareness.
