Job summary

NewsBreak is seeking a Local Business Development Manager in Mountain View, CA to acquire local advertising budgets at scale and establish a repeatable partnership pipeline in the local/home-services category.

You will own the full partnership lifecycle and work with Product, Account Management, and Marketing to support post-launch partnerships and retention. The role emphasizes building foundational partnerships over short-term quotas.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in business development, partnerships, or channel sales.
• Experience building one-to-many or affiliate-style partnerships.
• Knowledge of local/home-services advertising ecosystem is a plus.
• Proven ability to source, negotiate, and close scaled partnerships.
• Comfort with a foundation-building mandate over short-term quotas.

Responsibilities

• Scaled Acquisition: acquire local ad budgets at scale through partnerships.
• Full-Cycle Ownership: manage prospecting, pitching, negotiating, onboarding partners.
• Category Leadership: represent NewsBreak in local/home-services partnerships.
• Cross-Functional Support: collaborate with Product, Account Management, and Marketing.
• Reporting: track pipeline, deals, and local ad spend/ad density metrics.
