Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a professional CDL-A driver to safely operate tractor-trailers, comply with FMCSA regulations, and maintain accurate records. The role includes pre-trip/post-trip inspections, adherence to safety standards, and occasional loading/unloading duties.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Class A CDL with HazMat, Tanker, and Doubles endorsements, resides within 75 miles of the service center, and can work flexible schedules including over-the-road assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• 21 years of age per FMCSA regulations with 1 year driving experience.
• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center or work assignment.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a tractor/trailer to transport freight in compliance with FMCSA and local regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Adhere to safety rules and DOT/FMCSA regulations and company policies.
• Load/unload freight as needed and provide courteous customer service.
• Operate in various terrains and weather conditions and adapt to different schedules as required.
