Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines in New Jersey seeks a professional truck driver to operate all types of equipment, ensuring safety in all terrains and environmental conditions. You will comply with FMCSA regulations, perform pre-trip inspections, and handle loading/unloading as needed.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, HazMat/Tanker/Doubles endorsements, and registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse. You will maintain logs, drive under various schedules, and support safety and cargo security.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
21 years of age per FMCSA regulations; 1 year driving experience.
Valid Class A CDL; FMCSA Clearinghouse registration.
HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.
Must reside within 75 miles of service center.
Able to drive tractor-trailer per FMCSA rules; pass medical and road tests.
MVR acceptable; able to lift 70 lbs and operate forklift.
English speaking/reading as required by FMCSA rules.

Responsibilities

Operate all equipment safely across terrains and conditions.
Adhere to FMCSA and company safety regulations; maintain logs and records.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor and trailer.
Conduct loading/unloading at dock and customer sites as needed.
Follow different schedules; be flexible to business needs.
Report maintenance issues to Fleet Services or supervision.
Maintain security of equipment and cargo; comply with hazardous material rules.
Work independently or in a team; meet deadlines in high-volume environment.
Pass drug screen, background checks; valid work authorization in the United States.
