Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a professional truck driver to operate tractor-trailer units in accordance with company and FMCSA regulations. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, handle loading/unloading as required, and maintain accurate records while navigating diverse terrains and schedules.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, HazMat/Tanker/Doubles endorsements, and the ability to meet English proficiency and medical exam requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• 21 years of age required per FMCSA regulations (1 year driving experience).
• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center and/or work assignment.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.
• Must be able to drive a tractor trailer per FMCSA requirements.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift (min 7,500 lb).
• Must be able to push or pull a loaded pallet jack and/or hand truck (min 70 lbs).
• Physical activities include standing, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing a ladder, etc.
• Must be capable of dropping/hooking and coupling trailers with 65–70 lbs pressure.
• Must pass a FMCSA medical exam and road test.
• Must meet FMCSA English-speaking requirements.
• Must be able to lift ~70 lbs and drive in diverse terrains and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of equipment safely to perform required functions.
• Drive tractor/trailer in compliance with FMCSA and company rules.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety.
• Maintain records as required by regulations.
• Handle loading/unloading and dock work as needed.
• Report maintenance issues promptly to supervision.
• Comply with safety, security and hazardous materials rules.
• Work various schedules including over-the-road when needed.
• Provide professional service to customers and the public.
• Attend to duties with attendance and punctuality.
