Job summary

Assistance Plus seeks a Family Support Specialist to collaborate with the behavioral health home team to ensure coordinated, integrated care for youth and families. The role emphasizes leadership in developing family support services and the ability to share lived experiences to support families and partners.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of parenting experience and can navigate child-serving systems with families.

Qualifications

• . Must have three or more years of lived parenting experience with at least one child/youth who lived with you for three or more years.
• . Must be able to articulate lived experiences to families and providers.
• . Entry level computer skills and willingness to learn BHHO systems.
• . Must have Maine driver’s license and vehicle insurance ($50K/$100K).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate well-integrated care with the behavioral health home team.
• Provide leadership and technical assistance in developing family support services.
• Share experiences with families and community providers to support navigation of child-serving systems.
